On a Windows computer, Immuch360 Desktop reads the folders you choose with no server at all, plays flat and 360° videos in a player of its own, browses the same shares and servers, and can share the computer with a headset at home. Linux and macOS have it as previews, with 360° videos played flat.
Install the preview, or unzip it and start immuch360.exe, see Install. On the welcome page, "Use without a server" opens the choice of your folders, and "Connect to an Immich server" the login page, with its QR code for your phone.
A photo, a video or a folder opened with the program, or dropped on its window, opens at once, a 360° one in its 360° view; several files open together on one page. Photos and videos get it in "Open with"; it never makes itself their default program.
In a viewer, the keyboard drives it: Space plays and pauses, J and L go back and forward, F is full screen, and R and Shift+R turn a photo.
Play AV2 videos on your computer
Immuch360 Desktop reads AV2 files with software decoding: the processor of your computer decodes them with dav2d by VideoLAN, as fast as your computer allows. Immich does not play them.
Put your .ivf or .obu AV2 files in a folder of your library, or open the share that holds them, or open one with Immuch360 Desktop from your file manager. Their tiles carry an AV2 badge.
Open one. Once, "Download and play" fetches the AV2 decoder (about 1 MB, 1.7 MB on a Mac; the Windows one signed by APROGSYS) and checks it by its SHA-256; it then works offline, and your AV2 videos get their thumbnails.
"Video decoding", in the details of the video (I on the keyboard), shows how fast this computer decodes it. A video this computer decodes too slowly says so before it plays, with "Play anyway".
